# Protect and export your data

## A private workspace

Planner keeps each user’s information in a private space rather than placing it in a shared table beside other users’ data.

## Credentials stay with the operating system

Connected-account credentials use the secure storage provided by the operating system, such as the system keychain.

## Export your information

Planner is designed so your information is not trapped. Use the export option in the app whenever you need a portable copy.
